Chef’s Kitchen
Carley collaborated with the project architect to install repurposed, steel-reinforced timbers to support this home’s upper floor, enabling the removal of interior walls and facilitating a welcome expansion of the kitchen area.
Fine finish work is in evidence throughout the magnificent new space, with backsplashes of pillow tile and a bespoke, 13-foot-long island counter of stainless steel, Carrara Marble, and locally fashioned knee braces. Flooring was fashioned from repurposed “Tundra Boards” used to protect the Alaskan tundra from vehicle traffic.
